Growing by 2 feet!

We are excited to announce that our family will be growing by 2 feet!  Baby Partenheimer will make his or her arrival in March 2014.  Stay tuned for updates full of belly pictures and baby news :)

Everything is coming up Roses....

We have had some beautiful flowers (including roses) blooming in our yard over the past few weeks. This is my favorite "bloom".  Hopefully, they stick around for a while. 

Super Moon!

 On June 23rd, Earth had it's closest encounter with the moon for the year of 2013.  It was labeled the "Super Moon".  Which means it is a full Moon where the Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line.  On average there are 4-6 "super moon" sightings a year.

Well, since we have a great roof top, I wanted to take advantage of seeing it.  While I did not stay up late enough to see it's full super-ness, I was able to grab a photo.  I am working on my photography skills by challenging myself to take all my photos in manual and this was a challenge!

Hello Summer!

Since this weekend was the 1st summer weekend, we tried to take advantage of the beautifully warm weather. Unfortunately, Korey had to spend most of the weekend working his rotation at the hospital.  While we missed him Konrad and I took full advantage of the sun! Hopefully, he can join us next time!

Our 1st visit to the dog park was a success!  We had the whole place to ourselves.

Konrad loved spending the morning in the sun! 

I had he chance to soak up some rays with some great company in the afternoon!  

It was a great weekend, and can't wait until the next one :) 

6 years of wedded bliss

Korey and I celebrated or 6th wedding anniversary this weekend.  I thought is would be fun to dig back into the "archives" and share a few photos.  It was a hard choice picking only a few!

 Our first kiss as man and wife!  This picture does not show all the supportive people we have behind us, but those people helped us get to our wedding day and today.  

 

 Our first dace was a favorite part of the evening.  Korey and I took some lessons prior to the big and and shared our new dance moves with our friends and family.  I remember the "hoots and hollers" we received while dancing and it still puts a smile on my face. 

Due to our schedules we decided to celebrate on Friday, a few days early.  Our actual anniversary is on the 23rd.  We dined on an amazing dinner and remembered about our magical wedding day.  We ate at an amazing restaurant called The Store Front Company.  We had their 6 course menu and it was outstanding.  We would highly recommend it and cannot wait to go back!

Windy City

Korey, Konrad and I now call the "windy city" our home.   We area adjusting to city life by taking the train, eating at some great restaurants, and enjoying our view!  I am sure we will be spending lots of time here throughout the summer.  We have a guest room, so feel free to come and visit!
