We dined, we danced, we showered, we conquered!

This weekend was full of dining, dancing, and for me going to Randi's bridal shower. On Saturday we attended the Holland Dine and Dance. This was a benefit for the Holland Volunteer Fire Department. They are working towards buying a new fire truck. As usually we had a fantastic time! We ate and drank well, no one went thirsty! Korey even won a prize! A Farm Best jacket, very stylish and modern!

It's LOVE

Ron and Ann were so much fun!

All of the Partenheimer's in attendance!

There was no dessert provided, so Dana and Kenny brought a ice cream cake!

Korey's "high quality" jacket...be jealous!

Sunday Deb (Whitney's mom, and future mother in law of Randi), hosted a beautiful bridal shower for Randi. I had such a nice time chatting and of course eating!! Whitney and Randi will be getting married in April.

A Valentine's Day Wedding

We were lucky enough to be able to attend my cousin Mark and now is wife Shannon. It was such a beautiful wedding with such a great story behind it. Many years ago, when Mark and Shannon were in elementary school they were "dating". You know the typical "we dating" thing, they don't go anywhere or really talk to each other. For Valentine's day Mark asked Shannon what she wanted. She requested 1 rose. He got all dresses up, and had my aunt Carol drive him over. He knocked on the door and ran away! Fast forward to last Valentine's day. Shannon was packing to move back to Indiana. Mark was supposedly in Arizona (that is what Shannon thought). He actually flew to Atlanta to surprise her. He arrived at her apartment, got down on one kneed with a rose, and knocked on the door. When she opened the door, he was there asking her to marry her. Now, to this year they were married on Valentine's day. Too cute, right?

We had a great time. Everything was breath taking! We love you both!

How many "men" does it take to roll up and isle runner?
Apparently 3 plus

Yummy cake :)

Look at the cake topper....too funny!

Don't mess with the "Boss"

So, this has nothing to do with the wedding. A while back our neighbor called his car a "hooptie". I am not going to say either way, but if you would like to be the judge...come over! Korey and I got such a kick out of that I feel I have to capture a hooptie when I see one.

Happy Valentine's Day....Early

Korey and I celebrated Valentine's Day a little early (by one 1 day). We were attending a wedding on the 14th, so we thought we would make a weekend celebration of it. Friday, started off with gifts.

What I saw when I walked in.

The amazing unopened presents!

Can you tell he likes it?

I then surprised Korey by taking him to Eddie Merlot's. It was completely fantastic! I am pretty sure we were in a food coma when we left!

LOVE

Some 4-8 year-olds were asked what love means. I thought they were priceless. Hopefully it puts a smile on your face. Here are their answers.

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

Rebecca- age 8

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'

Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs..'

Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'

Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'

Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.
My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'

Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend
who you hate,'

Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'

Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'

Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'

Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody
You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'

Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'

Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'

Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day..'

Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'

Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)

Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'

Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'

Jessica - age 8

In honor of Valentine's Day, here is some love (literally) in our house. This is my attempt to be "artsy". Enjoy! (PS: there is no music, just pictures)

The Superbowl!

Korey, Killian, and myself were lucky enough to be invite to the hottest Superbowl party in Carmel! Ok, it was just my parent's house, but we always have a good time (and awesome food!). We started the night by watching the Superbowl 2006 the Colts vs. Bears. I know you are saying, how can you watch it again. We are just true Colts fans, and if they can't be in the Superbowl we will pretend they are for a bit. Anyways, back to the real game. Most of the audience was for the Cardinals, and we were sadly dissapointed. Only 6 months (give or take) till football season!

Livin' the dream!
