Don't eat the yellow snow...

Well, only in Indiana can the weather go from the negative teens, to 40+ degrees, and now have a record amount of snow. Only in Indiana! Due to the weather school was canceled for both Korey and I. We had a fun snow day. We started off by lounging around and breakfast. We then decided we would tackle the driveway.

Before.....

2 hours later....

After shoveling we needed some warm food. Some yummy vegetable soup did the job. The best way to end a snowy day is to have some snow cream. It is very simple to make. 1 cup milk, 1/2 sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 3 quarts snow. Mix and enjoy!

Contrary to popular belief, I did use clean snow. We added chocolate and caramel. Yummy!

Stay warm and enjoy the snow!

Happy New Year! I know I am only 25 days late. Better late then never right? I hope the new year has found everyone happy and healthy. We had a VERY low key new years, The Ram and watching the ball drop. I have seen a "year in review" done on other blogs and thought I would try it myself. Enjoy!

Baby Koen!

We got this in the mail the other day (adorable, right?), and I realized I never blogged about the new addition to the Kahle family.
Koen Andrew was born on December 30th, and is as cute as a button. We were able to visit the little one before we headed back up to Indy. He is a such cutie pie! Koen will most definitely will be a chick magnet and a heart breaker. We can't wait to see him grow before our eyes.

Happy Birthday Mike!

Mike's birthday happens to fall on the Epiphany, so for a less Holy view we decided that he was the "Epiphany". Give or take your interpretation. Anyways, this year he turned the big 1 7! We headed to Carrabba's and then back to the 'rents for dessert. The dessert of choice was pumpkin pie with whipped cream! Since Mike turned 17 he is now "legally" able to see "R" rated movies and play "M" rated games he received many of these items. Over the years Mike has asked for these types of movies and or games for gifts. Since he was not legal age he was not able to play them and they were put into the "vault". Ok it was just a closet, but vault sounded cooler. Happy Birthday Mike!
