Killian's Comic
Killian made the January 2008 comic. It is really cute. He is in the middle on the right with the caption "No I'm cuter". Check it out! http://luckydogretreat.com/comics/jan08/Comic.html

Vesser John Davis
September 14, 1924 - January 22, 2008As some of you might (or might not know) know my grandpa passed away on January 22nd. It was very sudden, and a tough loss. It was very difficult for me to share this information and I apologize for not communicating it better. He will be greatly missed in our lives. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Doggie Daycare
This week was Killian's 1st experience with Doggie Daycare. We decided it would be good for him to socialize, and we felt bad leaving him in his crate for so long. So, on Tuesdays and Thursdays we will take him to Lucky Dog retreat for daycare. He absolutely loves it, and comes home exhausted. For his 1st day he got new "daycare clothes" (a new collar), and a new "backpack" for his lunch (a X-mass gift from the Kahle clan). We are able to watch him on a webcam during the day at http://luckydogretreat.com/playcambig.html. He also has his picture posted as a "lucky dog" http://luckydogretreat.com/ldrdogs/slideshow11.html#63. We will keep you updated on how it goes.

Killian's big fix
Killian had his big "fix" this week. Everything went well, and he is now recuperating. We do have to give him some mild sedation (which makes him very loopy), but besides that all is well!
Kahle Family X-mass
Since the Kahle family was not able to get together before Christmas we all got together after the holidays to celebrate. This was great because we love Christmas so the longer we can stretch it the better. The Brooks hosted the day at their home. The day started off with a family photo shoot. Kathy had arranged for a photographer to come and take some pictures of the family. Each family was assigned different color polo, so we had a rainbow once it was complete. I am sure they turned out wonderfully, but I will post some once we get them back. Then we had some yummy stuffed chicken and more side dishes than I can remember. I am pretty sure I was in a food coma. Board games were a must. Later in the evening we opened presents with all the little ones and had the adult exchange. We received so many wonderful things, thank you everyone!

Mike's Sweet Sixteen
No there was no MTV show taped about Mike's 16th Birthday (who am I kidding I would have tried to, but probably have been shunned for life), but we still did it up right. Mike had is birthday meal at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Where we stuffed ourselves (with cheeseburgers of course!), opened presents and had a sudo birthday cake. It was really fun. Now he is a big 16 year old and will be able to drive very soon, AHHHH that's scary. Since he was turning 16 most of the presents were themed around that. Sorry for the picture quality, I forgot my camera (I know who does that?). So, these are off my phone.

Charly and Chad's Wedding
Charly and Chad became husband and wife on New Year’s Eve. It was such magical, beautiful, romantic, and fun day. The night before the wedding we all gathered at the Fuzzy Zeller golf club for the rehearsal dinner. I have never been the the golf club and it was such a quaint place. Chad parents did a wonderful job hosting and really put the bride and groom in the spotlight. The day of the wedding all the girls started off at the hair salon where we were spoiled rotten with so much food. We all got our hair done by some amazing stylist. After being beautified we headed over to St. Mary's Catholic Church where the ceremony would be held. It is a breath taking church and was a perfect setting for the nuptials. The ceremony was amazing from the singing, readings and the beautiful bride. Who could ask for more? Charly and Chad looked so happy and I believe really enjoyed themselves. After the ceremony we all headed back to the hotel for some munchies provided by Charly's parents (thanks Jon and Andy!). We all took a little breather and then made our way over to the reception at Slugger Field. This was such a cool place to have an event. We were right off the field which was really fun! I just do not have enough words for how amazing it was. There were tons of amazing appetizers, yummy cake, great speeches, fun dancing, and a great way to bring in the New Year. We wish you many happy years together, love you!!
